I am the one who sticks out in our friend group. Do't get me wrong I am smart. I take honors classes and stuff, but sometimes I feel sooooo dumb when I am with my friends. They are some of my best friends! I am soooo extremely proud of them. This is not an angeer or jealousy or a pity party thing. I just think it is kind of funny. All my friends are in the gifted group and are sooo awesome. I on the other hand was denied from spice. Spice is a smart people club. Whatevs. Rachel and Katie are gonna be our Valevictorians and Raven is going to find out how people can live underwater without oxygen. Kristen is going to write the next novel that two generations from now will be reading in their english class. Adele is the next Sheryl Crow. Amy has gifts for art enough to beat Davinci in an art contest. Sierra is gonna find out the next big crime that will rock America. ( FIGHT CRIME SIERRA. CRIME IS BAD!) Lisa is gonna take the basketball world by storm! Marissa is going to tame wild wolves and make them into house pets while she makes TV shows that people get absolutely addicted to. These are my friends- I love them. They rock at everything they do and remind me that " If iether of them fallls down one can pick the other up..." (ecclesiasties 4:10).
A random place of over reacting and making Velociraptor sounds!! Hope you enjoy! :)

Zombies
Finals: a one-way ticket for turning teenagers into zombies.
You have....
The Jocks: Over-stressed and over-worked by their coaches to keep up their GPA so they can keep playing. Zombies.
The Nerds: Studying all night. Zombies.
The "Bad Kids:" Zombified anyways. Zombies.
The Preps: SUPER excited about the testing; stayed up all night, talking to each other about how awesome it's gonna be. Zombies.
The Stoners: High as usual -- nothing changes there. Zombies.
The Nobodies: Antisocial anyways; finals just make them worse. Zombies.
The Whores: Trying to flirt with everyone in order to be able to cheat off of them...not really zombified, but after a while, they just start "going through the motions"...like zombies. Zombies.
The Video-Gamers: Stayed up all night, playing video games and didn't study AT ALL and didn't get enough sleep. Zombies.
The OCD Kids: Super freaked out about how the papers aren't stapled perfectly together. Zombies.
The Rednecks: Only worried that they might have to go to Night School and miss out on their Shop Classes. Zombies.
The Rich Kids: Worried that Daddy might not buy them the newest Ferrari if they don't make at least a C+. Zombies.
The Hippies: Upset because the tests have over 100 pages and it kills trees. Zombies.
The Hipsters: The standardized tests are too mainstream for them to care. Zombies.
The Procrastinators: Put studying off until the night before; didn't sleep at all due to stress. Zombies.
The Vains: Too worried about hair and makeup to even start to care about testing. Zombies.
The Teachers: The most stressed-out they've been all year because they forgot to teach a few things that they know will be on the tests and are too embarrassed about it to actually tell their students so they might have a chance to pass. Zombies.
So yeah, finals are rough. And everyone eventually turns into my favourite thing: Zombies.

4 and Happiness
I am reading this book called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. It has helped all the women in the family. She points out that you must act how you wanna feel. It legitly works for me and a lot of people. (incorrect grammar).
And exercise... I thought at first eww no-one likes to exercise. I have come to LOVE endorphins. They are like natural drugs for your body - the kind of drug that is O.K to be addicted to. This is much unlike the other drugs! Unless you wind up on one of those creepy I Can't Stop shows when you are completely addicted to working out and cannot stop! SO YAY ENDORPHINS! Thank you for helping my body claim joy through its hormones. I am gonna call you Dorphy!
She was also speaking of how you need to lighten up and just let go. This is the hardest for me due to my O.C.D. Yes I really have O.C.D. Anyways my dad always says," Dare to be imperfect, Hannah." And my mom says, "Just be you." (I have awesome parents.) It is very important to let go.

I judge people for their bad grammar
I was on FaceBook the other day and I noticed a rather horrifying phenomena: most teenagers don't know the simple difference between YOUR and YOU'RE. So, to battle this, I have come up with an easy way to remember the difference.
YOU'RE eating a taco while YOUR dog is biting my leg. I don't know why YOU'RE eating YOUR taco instead of making YOUR dog stop biting me. I decide to kick YOUR dog, but YOU'RE getting angry at me. Now, YOU'RE arresting me for animal cruelty against YOUR dog. You return to eating YOUR taco, and I decide to sue you for everything YOU'RE worth. We both decide not to sue each other because YOUR dog is insane and YOU'RE trying to get help for him. Little do you know that I'm breaking into YOUR house while YOU'RE sleeping. YOU'RE snoring, so I put a pillow over YOUR face to make you stop. You then suffocate. Silly me.
Moral of the story? Don't use bad grammar. You could die.

Mr. Friend Zone
The friends zone-- we've all been there. You have a long term friend who happens to be the opposite gender, and cannot help but begin to have feelings for them. And quite frankly, i've discovered that it is an extremely awkward and Uncomfortable position to find oneself in. I mean-- how are you supposed to approach the matter anyway?! I mean-- you can't just walk up to your close guy-friend and simply proclaim that you have a huge crush on them, can you?!?!
I know I couldn't. Quite frankly, I would probably find myself in a worse position, considering that I am potentially the most awkward human being on the face of the Earth. In my case, things would probably pan out like this: Me: (runs up to guy with pale, clammy face)
Guy: Hey Kristen, what is it you wanted to talk to me about?
Me: (vomits excessively)
Annnnnd SCENE!!!
In other words, being in the Friend Zone sucks. And, once you actually confront the pink elephant in the room
--metaphorically I should hope-- I guess it could end in two ways: 1.He could admit that he likes you too, and could possibly become your boyfriend! :) 2. He could not like you, and then you end feeling like a piece of crap loser jerk face, who turned a great friendship into an awful battle of your own feelings.....SO, I'm guessing you can figure out which option MOST would PREFER.
My advice to you: I've discovered that it's super important to voice your feelings. If your friend zone crush does like you, then That's flippin' super!! But, otherwise, you may have to become a bit of a stronger person. If you care about them enough, and they care about you enough-- even as a friend-- the two of you may discover that your friendship is golden enough as is. Another thing I feel is important: if there IS awkwardness -which there probably will be- PLEASE talk it out!!! Communication is so important! If you don't, you may just find yourselves entangled in some sort of weird even-worse-than-friend-zone stage with each other!
To be completely honest, I kinda had to learn these lessons the hard way, as many others have. It does suck. I'm not going to lie, and say that everything's all peachy, when it's not. However, I'm glad I voiced my feelings in a way. I actually wish I could have done that sooner, rather than wait until I practically had to force myself.and, now that it's all said and done, I know that at least I womt spend the rest of my adolescence asking myself "what if."
I know that things happen for a reason, that people change with each year that passes; maybe sometimes people hide their feelings, misconstrue each other's intentions, and eventually grow apart. I still wish things could've ended up differently, but as the infamous Dr. Seuss once said: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!" what are some other tips you could give to people in the Friend Zone?? Let me know in the comments! God bless! :)

4 and Cliques
You know how in highschool there are cliques? Our clique is the I DONT KNOW clique. We don't exactly know where we are. There is the popular girls who actually in our school are very nice. Then there are the used to be pops. who have connections. The people that are really nice but not known. Then there is us. The totes awk sitch kids. Kinda are socially awkward but people like us- we are a little DIFFERENT! We are the futball fans in the midst of football fans. But we like who we are. A group of geeks that have a weird sence of humor ,are all in band, who sing really loud, and run with our hands over our heads. But we have fun doing it! Love you guys!
